Honored.

Last night the precinct committee members for the 32nd House District selected me to fulfill the remainder of the late Representative Mike Peterson’s term in the Kansas Legislature.

We are all saddened by the circumstances that created this vacancy. Representative Peterson served our community for many years in public office, as a leader of the Democratic Party, and a great friend to many of us. Our community has lost a passionate advocate and his leadership will be greatly missed. I am truly honored to have been selected to fulfill the remainder of Representative Peterson’s term.

Every day, the decisions made by our Representatives in Topeka impact each of our lives. As State Representative, I will work tirelessly to make sure your interests are never ignored. I will spend my time focusing on legislative priorities all of us can get behind:

  • Progressive policies that allow our community and its people to grow and prosper;
  • New opportunities for our young people through quality education;
  • Job creation and workforce training and re-training to attract and keep quality jobs in Kansas City.

My experience as a mother, wife, small business owner, public servant, and lifelong resident of Wyandotte County will allow me to give our community the level of representation you deserve and expect in the Kansas Legislature.

I greatly appreciate the opportunity to serve as your State Representative. My door is always open to you and I am going to pride myself on providing excellent constituent services. Never hesitate to contact me when I can be of assistance to you. I look forward to the opportunity to speak with you.

Sincerely,

Pam Curtis
